Our client is seeking an experienced medical receptionist to work on casual basis with a view to permanency.

About the role

Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to

• Greeting and providing support to patients
• Answering phone calls and dealing with patient queries
• Booking appointments and updating patient information
• Dealing and assisting with doctors and Nurses
• Administration support and other ad hoc duties
• Processing consultation payments and Medicare rebates
• Triage emergencies when and if they occur
• Always maintain confidentiality of patient personal and financial information
• Excellent customer service, confidentiality and high ethics standard are a must in this role
• This is a long-term position with excellent job security to work ideally 3 days per week.
• Hours of work would generally be 9am to 4pm. No weekend work or shift work requirement.

Skills and experience

• Strong communication skills with a friendly and confident personality
• Well-presented and exceptional commitment to patient care/service. Previous experience will be well regarded
• Highly organised, attention to detail and aptitude for multi-tasking
• Fast learner and competence in using Microsoft Office
• Experience in using Best Practice patient management system or equivalent is highly desirable
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Commitment to personal development and learning
