This reputable Local Council in Sydney has recently opened an opportunity for an Environmental Health Officer to join their team on a 6 month contract with a strong likelihood of extension. ABOUT THE POSITION.

In this position, you will assist the Coordinator and the team with ensuring compliance and regulations are met. You will assist the team by participating in a business transformation model to achieve cultural change and succeed in accomplishing agreed service delivery outcomes.

DUTIES.

• Carry out inspections at various locations
• Respond to inquiries and provide safety advice to stakeholders
• Coordinate and issue Penalty Infringement Notices when necessary
• Assess DA's to ensure requirements of regulations

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.

• Bachelor of Natural Science (Environmental Health) or equivalent
• Current Class C Drivers Licence
• Working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, statutory authority guidelines and standards
• Demonstrated experience in Local Councils is preferred
