We are growing as a business and as a part of our success we now have an exceptional opportunity for an enthusiastic, autonomous and engaging Financial Controller to join our collaborative and highly functional finance team.

Reporting to our CFO, this role will see you champion all aspects of financial management, including financial planning, modelling, forecasting, budgeting, cash flow management, and reporting. You will play a critical leadership role by providing commercial insight and strategic recommendations to executive leadership, ensuring sustainability and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all financial operations including accounting, compliance, tax, and reporting.

Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate business performance, pricing strategies.

Prepare and deliver monthly management reports, board packs, and variance analyses.

Partner with executive and operational teams to support commercial decision-making and margin analysis.

Manage budgeting and forecasting cycles.

Conduct financial scenario modelling for business development initiatives and strategic investments.

Oversee cash flow planning and ensure optimal working capital management.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations, payroll tax, superannuation, and ATO obligations.

Lead the financial audit and liaise with external accountants and tax advisors.

Drive process improvement across systems and workflows (e.g., automation, reporting, modelling tools).

You will be & you will have:

CA or CPA qualified (mandatory).

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

5+ years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a senior finance role.

Previous experience in a service-based business (e.g. recruitment, labour hire, medical/healthcare, or staffing agency) highly desirable.

Advanced financial modelling and Excel skills (essential).

Strong analytical mindset with a hands-on approach.

Experience with accounting and payroll systems (e.g., Xero, Astute, SalesForce) is advantageous.

Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders.

High attention to detail, deadline-driven, and commercially astute.

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with all internal and external stakeholders

Willing to collaborate and team orientated

Ability to use initiative, be self-directed and work under minimal supervision

Positive, can-do and hardworking attitude but also someone who likes to get involved socially within the team

Experience working in a fast-paced environment

Ability to meet stringent deadlines and manage to change priorities

Strong ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
