Job Title: Financial Crime and Fraud Specialist
Location: Sydney
Remuneration: Competive Salary & Benefits Package
Type: Full-time | Permanent
On behalf of a trailblazing digital bank backed by one of Australia’s most trusted financial institutions, we are exclusively recruiting a Financial Crime and Fraud Specialist. This is your opportunity to join at the ground floor of a bold new venture that’s fusing the agility of a fintech with the credibility and scale of a long-established financial player.
This isn’t a minor product launch or a cosmetic rebrand—it’s a full-scale digital banking build, from the ground up. With a next-gen tech stack (powered by the same platform behind one of the UK’s top neobanks), this new business is setting out to make banking better for everyday Australians and small businesses. Think seamless mobile-first experiences, smart features, and a customer-obsessed mindset—all delivered with startup energy and serious financial muscle.
The Financial Crime and Fraud Specialist will play a crucial role in safeguarding customers and the business from fraud, scams, and financial crime. The role involves proactive investigation, data-driven trend analysis, KYC and onboarding support, direct customer engagement, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. It’s hands-on, high-impact work—ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments where ideas turn into action quickly.
Candidates will bring experience in fraud and financial crime within banking or financial services, a passion for customer protection, and a sharp eye for patterns and detail. The role requires four days per week in the Sydney office during the onboarding and training phase, with flexibility available once embedded in the team.
If you're excited by innovation, inspired by the chance to shape something new, and energised by the idea of helping launch one of Australia's most exciting digital banking ventures—this is the role to explore.
