The Opportunity As Senior Financial Accountant, you’ll play a key role in managing the integrity of financial reporting across the group’s Australian operations. You’ll be working closely with both finance leadership and business stakeholders to ensure compliance, accuracy and insight in all financial outputs — enabling strong decision making and supporting the group’s commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with AASB and IFRS
• Own month-end and year-end close processes, including group consolidation
• Support external audit processes and regulatory reporting (including APRA returns)
• Partner with FP&A and actuarial teams to provide analysis and insights
• Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes and controls
• Mentor and support junior team members

About You

• CA/CPA qualified with 5+ years’ experience in financial reporting
• Prior experience in insurance, financial services or Big 4 audit with insurance clients
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/AASB)
• Confident communicator with the ability to liaise across finance and business units
• Detail-oriented and driven, with a proactive mindset for process improvement
