Get to know the Role:

Border Express currently has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced and motivated Radio Room Operator to join the team at our Sydney Branch.

The purpose of this role is to perform all administrative and operational tasks associated with pick up and deliveries to ensure that all are delivered in line with customer service requirements; efficiently, accurately, on time and in full inline.

Duties:

Ensure all pick-ups received are actioned in a timely manner in line with Border Express work processes and guidelines

Monitoring of freight movements and specific communication (instructions) for all pickups and deliveries.

Ensure DIFOT targets are achieved by checking paperwork against freight to ensure all deliveries are on time and in full and once achieved, strive to improve.

Check all data entry into TS and correspondence to ensure accuracy and relevance of information.

Plan and monitor all fleet in movements in conjunction with the allocators for effective utilisation in order to meet the operations time schedule and customer requests.

Use appropriate communication channels to ensure any issues you encounter are escalated appropriately to enable them to be addressed.

Track and monitor fleet vehicles when required to ensure DIFOT targets are achieved.

Skills and Experience:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in the Transport industry.

Great local knowledge of Sydney Metro and surrounding areas.

Ability to problem solve with great attention to detail.

Excellent verbal and communication skills.

A responsible and professional attitude, with a high level of motivation and autonomy.

Ability to meet deadlines.
