Bar Supervisor – Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron, St Kilda
We’re seeking a hands-on, reliable Bar Supervisor to lead our front-of-house team and help deliver exceptional service at our bistro bar.
Located right on St Kilda Beach, the Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron is a welcoming environment with a strong member base. This full-time role comes with a stable Wednesday to Sunday roster and reports directly to the Venue Manager.
What You'll Be Doing
Providing friendly, professional service to members and guests
Managing stock levels, placing supplier orders, and controlling inventory
Overseeing cellar operations and maintaining beer lines
Following structured opening and closing procedures
Ensuring compliance with RSA and liquor licensing regulations
Maintaining a clean, well-presented bar and bistro
Leading, mentoring, and supporting junior team members
What We're Looking For
Previous bar or hospitality supervisory experience
Calm under pressure, solutions-focused, and team-oriented
Great communication and interpersonal skills
Solid understanding of cellar management and bar operations
Strong skills in stock control, cash handling, and general bar procedures
High attention to detail and pride in presentation
Current RSA certificate (essential)
Availability for evenings, weekends, and public holidays (Wed–Sun)
What You’ll Get
Competitive salary: $65,000 – $68,000 (based on experience)
Fixed roster: Wednesday to Sunday
