The roles

Cirka Catering is on an exciting growth trajectory, underpinned by our upcoming takeover as the provider of café and catering services across all campuses for the Box Hill Institute in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.

We are looking for 3 driven, organised and passionate FOH/Barista Supervisors to be the frontline leaders at the below locations for our new Cirka88 branded cafes.

Box Hill Elgar Rd: Full-time role working primarily 7:30am-3:30pm Mon-Fri Supervising FOH staff for a bustling café and function activity.

Box Hill Nelson Rd: Full-time role working primarily 7:30am-3:30pm Mon-Fri Supervising a Catering Assistant and working as sole barista on site.

Lilydale: Full-time role working primarily 7:30am-3:30pm Mon-Fri Supervising a Catering Assistant, working as sole barista on site.

As a Barista Supervisor with Cirka, some of your responsibilities will include.

Preparing and serving a range of high-quality beverages for customers including coffees, hot chocolates.

Supervising and supporting your Baristas and FOH staff including during peak times to ensure smooth and organised service for customers as well as overseeing any function requests

Communicating with Kitchen and BOH staff to ensure that food counters and fridges are continuously stocked.

Ensure internal processes are followed including purchasing, daily takings, fortnightly rosters and payroll approval.

Manage and motivate your team, providing timely and constructive feedback to team members on a regular basis, including training of new staff.

Maintain cleanliness of the FOH area and ensure compliance regarding all food-related practices & procedures.

To be considered for this role it is essential that you can demonstrate that you are:

An established Barista who can prepare a wide range of hot and cold beverages.

A leader who is cool, calm and collected, particularly during rush periods.

Good problem solving and decision-making skills.

Understanding of budget management and cost control and knowledge of safe working processes and practices.

Current Working With Children Check and National Police Check.
