This role is on permanent afternoon shift (1.00pm to 9.06pm) Monday to Friday.

The Role

As a key contributor to our team, you’ll play a critical role in fabricating and building truck bodies to the highest standards. Depending on your experience, responsibilities will include:

Interpreting and working from technical drawings and specifications.

Performing various welding techniques, with the majority relating to MIG welding.

Applying advanced fabrication skills to enhance quality and efficiency.

Conducting quality inspections to ensure all work meets safety and industry standards.

Maintaining tools and equipment, ensuring they are in optimal condition.

Collaborating with team members to plan and prioritise tasks effectively.

Supervising and mentoring less experienced welders (for senior-level candidates).

Developing and implementing best practices for welding processes (for senior-level candidates).

Skills & Qualifications:

Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (or equivalent).

Proven experience in welding and fabrication within a manufacturing environment.

Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Leadership and mentoring skills (desired for senior-level candidates).

Familiarity with advanced welding techniques and compliance with AS 1796 standards (desired for senior-level candidates).

Previous experience in truck body and trailer building will be highly favoured.
