Vineyard Hand

Moores Hill Estate is a boutique, family-operated wine producer located in the beautiful Tamar Valley, Tasmania. First planted in 1997 our 5.6ha vineyard consists of Pinot Noir, Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. We produce estate grown, single vineyard wines of outstanding depth and quality, all made on site in our 100% off-grid winery powered by 108 solar panels and 45kw battery storage.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated person to join our dynamic and small team as a vineyard hand.

Key Responsibilities;

• Pruning, training, and canopy management
• Netting and harvesting grapes

• Participate in vineyard operations, including:

Operate tractors and maintain equipment

Conduct herbicide and fungicide spraying

Maintenance of irrigation and trellis system

Supervision of labour hire crews

Key Attributes;

Keen interest/passion in viticulture and general farming

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work both in a team and autonomously

Reliability and punctuality

Mechanical skills for equipment maintenance

Leadership skills to manage on site crews

This is a permanent position and is only open to applicants who are Australian citizens or permanent residents. Due to the size of Moores Hill, the successful applicant will be expected to work in all areas of the business.
