We are currently looking for Maintenance and Mechanical Project Fitters for site installation work on new processing plants or complete upgrades / refurbs on a range of industrial manufacturing facilities, across Brisbane and Northern Gold Coast.

On offer is stable ongoing work, with a selection of leading construction and contracting companies in the manufacturing and industrial infrastructure sector, for a range of large scale maintenance and construction contracts.
Opportunity to go full time after 6 months, and with a large pipeline of work there multiple positions on offer.

Job Details:

• Pay: $55.00 per hour + Overtime and Penalties
• Hours: 6:00am - 4pm or 6am - 2:30pm, Monday to Friday
• Locations: Carbrook, Pinkenba, Rocklea, Elanora
• Multiple positions: Fitters, Site Boilermakers/pipe fitters (positions available with Construction or Maintenance teams)

Responsibilities

• Factory on site installation and upgrade work for a manufacturing facility
• Installing new packaging equipment, conveyors and other production machinery
• Relocating some older equipment into another part of the factory
• Mechanical maintenance and repair work across both workshop and on-site
• Duties include fault finding, attending to breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and carrying out on-site troubleshooting
• Working on heavy industrial equipment such as conveyors, mills, and other fixed plant machinery

Requirements

• Qualified Fitter or Site Welder/Boilermaker
• Experience as a mechanical project fitter or maintenance fitter
• Experience with project work, factory installations / upgrades or breakdowns / preventative maintenance
• Mechanical Trade Assistants and site Boilermakers/Welders needed
• Drivers licence and reliable transport
