About the Role

CQ Diesel Fitting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Fitter | HD Fitter | HD Mechanic to join our Mackay team. This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, offering a competitive hourly rate, regular overtime at overtime rates, and a great opportunity to be part of a supportive and growing team.

What You’ll Be Doing

Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment, including trucks, earthmoving machinery, cranes, and other industrial vehicles.

Performing scheduled maintenance and servicing to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Conducting on-site repairs, roadside assistance, and field service work using a company utility vehicle.

Maintaining detailed records of all work performed.

Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.

Collaborating with the wider team to share knowledge and best practices.

On-call roster available

What We’re Looking For

Trade-qualified Diesel Fitter, Heavy Duty Mechanic, or similar.

Experience in truck and trailer maintenance (highly regarded).

Field service experience preferred.

Crane maintenance and inspection experience (highly regarded).

Current Queensland C Class driver licence (HR or MC ideal).

Excellent diagnostic, technical, and problem-solving skills.

Strong organisational and time management skills.

Commitment to quality workmanship and safe work practices.

A collaborative attitude and willingness to support the team.
