About the role

Ventia have a contract supporting the maintenance of the Millmerran Power Station and Skout Solutions are seeking 1 Mechanical Fitter to drive in and out to the power station to assist for period of 6 Months in the Maintenance team. This role has the possibility of going permanent after the 6 month period.

Whats in it for you:

• 5-day (10.5 hours per day) Monday to friday work week in a great team environment.
• $54 per hour Mon-Thurs. 5th day worked in the week pays first 2 hours at $100 and $108 for 8.5 hours thereafter.
• 1* weekly rural allowance of $91.50 per week.
• Opportunity to work on a power station, experience in the resources industry not essential

Duties include but are not limited to

• Maintain plant effectively to the set standards;
• Work with Trades Assistants and other tradesmen to achieve plant performance;
• Complete minor plant isolation and operation;
• Complete routine plant mechanical maintenance

You will need

• Mechanical Trade Qualification (Mechanical fitter or mechanically minded HV mechanic)
• Maintenance experience required, mining experience is not essential
• A commitment to OH&S practices
• To be available for A Coal Fit respirator test that we will pay for and organize in Toowoomba, prior to first day
• Current Drivers licence and construction White or Blue card
