Certificate III and Diploma Qualified Educators

Harbour Early Learning has two state of the art, recently completed purpose-built centres located in both Aranda and Red Hill. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. We are open 52 weeks a year, except for Public Holidays.

We are seeking experienced and motivated Certificate III and Diploma qualified educators to join our professional and dedicated teams of Early Childhood Teachers and Educators. The positions are full time 38 hrs, 5 days (Monday to Friday). You will have the privilege of working with like-minded collaborators who are setting the new benchmark for early learning.

Qualifications & Experience

§ Certificate III and/or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.

§ Current First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Training.

§ Current Child Protection training.

§ Current Working with Vulnerable People Card.

§ Current Food Handlers certificate (or willingness to obtain).

§ Clear National Police Check.

§ Australian citizen or permanent residents are encouraged to apply.

§ Previous experience working with children aged Birth to 5 years.

§ Genuine willingness to work with any age group.

§ Sound computer literacy skills related to documentation and program planning.

§ Demonstrated understanding of current education and care legislation regulations and guidelines.

§ High level interpersonal skills, demonstrated initiative and problem-solving ability.

§ Effective implementation of theory and research-based pedagogy.

Tasks & Responsibilities

§ Create an environment that acknowledges and encourages each and every child’s agency and participation.

§ Facilitate and document learning opportunities founded on children's interests.

§ Work collaboratively with a team of ECT, Diploma and Certificate III qualified professionals.

§ Develop and maintain positive and welcoming relationships with families.

§ Follow centre’s philosophy, policies and procedures.
