The Stella Bella Children's Centre is a small and unique centre in Fyshwick, Canberra, that offers a mainstream childcare unit for long day care and a special care unit for babies and young children who have chronic medical conditions. Stella Bella Children's Centre is owned by the well-respected local children's charity, Stella Bella Foundation. We have a wonderful group of educators and children in our centre and have lovely indoor and outdoor spaces to play, grow and learn in.

We are looking for a new Cert 3 Educator to join our Mainstream Little Room (6m - 3 y) team.

If you would like to join our team, you will need the following:

A passion for providing meaningful and nourishing early childhood experiences for children, regardless of any special care requirements they may have.

A willingness to learn about and apply the Stella Bella care and learning philosophies in programming activities for the children

A commitment to protecting the rights, safety, and wellbeing of children

A completed Certificate 3 qualification

A minimum of 1 year hands on experience working in the early childhood setting with children from 1-5 years of age

A healthy respect for a cohesive team culture, lots of initiative, energy, an open mind, a kind heart and a willingness to get involved in all aspects of care and learning for the children in our care, and care for our centre.

An excellent work ethic

Current first aid, anaphylaxis and asthma certifications or willingness to obtain at the start of your employment

Current Child Protection Training certificate or willingness to obtain one at the start of your employment

Current WWVP card

A strong commitment to, the National Quality Standard and Early Years Learning Framework.

Excellent spoken and written English
