About us:
Community Services #1 is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting people and families in the ACT and surrounding NSW regions. With over 200 employees and volunteers, we deliver programs that address community needs and foster a sense of belonging.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diploma Qualified Educators (or somebody studying towards Diploma ready for their next step) to help establish and create a lasting legacy at our Forrest Early Education and Care Centre, licensed for 92 children. With a philosophy centred on a play-based curriculum, this is your chance to be a part of a brand-new team and bring the centre’s vision to life.
About the role:
To assist in the recording of individual observations on a regular basis and make suggestions for the planning of appropriate experiences.
To respect and value each child’s background and culture, and display anti-bias practices throughout the program, routine and interactions.
To expose the children to a variety of experiences, which will extend interest and stimulate them.
To assist in the preparation of children’s transitions throughout the Centre.
To build a positive relationship with the children in order to develop trust between carer, child and parent.
Be committed to continuous professional development and apply learning to the program.
About you:
ACECQA-approved qualifications (e.g.Diploma Qualified Educators and individuals working towards Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
Hold unrestricted Working with Vulnerable People Card
Full-Time Working Rights
Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework, including the Early Years Learning Framework
Ability to inspire and mentor educators to achieve best practices.
A dedicated and enthusiastic educator
Committed to supporting children’s learning and confidence through engaging activities
Ability to build strong connections with children, families and team
Relevant work experience in a similar role
What we offer:
Hourly rate: $31.66 (Children Services Award) plus superannuation and salary packaging. 76hours/fortnightly.

About Community Services #1
