Altona Support Worker Opportunity – Empower a Young Adult Towards Independence

Altona, VIC | 20–25 hours per week | NDIS-funded role

We’re looking for authentic, motivated support workers to assist an intelligent and high-functioning young woman soon to turn 18 and is navigating the next stage of her life with the support of the NDIS.

The client is seeking support workers who are real, grounded, and understanding—people with either lived or professional experience in mental health, who can support her in building confidence and independence without being overly clinical. This role is ideal for someone who can build trust, work creatively and patiently, and offer practical guidance with a supportive, non-judgmental approach.

Key focus areas of the role include:

Supporting the client to access and feel confident in her local community

Assisting with healthy routine development (e.g. cooking, meal prep, personal care)

Helping her develop practical life skills at her own pace

What we’re looking for:

Experience in mental health, disability support, or related fields (lived experience welcomed)

A calm, respectful, and genuine approach to support

Ability to work 20–25 flexible hours per week, Mornings

A current driver’s licence, Police Check, and up-to-date First Aid & CPR
