Position: Senior Accountant
Location: Sydney, NSW (initially on-site, flexible WFH option later)
Salary: AUD 100,000 - 110,000 + Super

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Internal Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for managing full-cycle accounting, preparing consolidated financial statements under AASB, and ensuring compliance with all statutory and tax obligations. The ideal candidate will be CPA/CA qualified, with strong analytical skills and a proven track record in financial reporting, payroll, and compliance within a multi-entity environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and consolidate financial statements for multiple entities in accordance with AASB.
• Manage end-to-end accounting processes, including general ledger maintenance, month-end/year-end close, and reconciliations.
• Oversee payroll and superannuation-related processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of BAS, IAS, and FBT returns.
• Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and provide strategic advice.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
• Assist with tax planning and compliance, review intercompany transactions, and ensure proper eliminations in consolidated reports.

Requirements

• CPA or CA qualification (completed).
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or ERP systems).
• Strong knowledge of ATO regulations, payroll tax, and superannuation legislation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
