This is a great opportunity for someone with strong technical accounting experience who's eager to step into a hands-on role with visibility across the business.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS/AASB) and internal policies
• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes
• Manage and coordinate the external audit process and statutory reporting requirements
• Assist in preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
• Provide timely and accurate financial insights and reporting to senior management
• Oversee tax compliance including BAS, FBT, and income tax returns in collaboration with tax advisors
• Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency
• Support system implementations and upgrades from a finance perspective
• Partner with operational teams to understand business drivers and provide financial advice
• Mentor and support junior finance team members

Your Skills & Experience

• CA/CPA qualified
• 5+ years' experience in financial accounting, preferably within a medium to large business
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Netsuite)
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
