We seek an experienced and highly motivated HSE Advisor to join our Cient's team.

You will be responsible to promote a positive safety culture throughout the operations by providing training and leading by example. You will carry out assigned jobs as per HSE Management System requirements and report progress as required. In addition, you will be required to provide site HSE support and advise the site team on HSE issues/queries, with regards to local legislation and company policies.

Please note, you need to have full work rights to work in Australia.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Support all activities for the effective implementation of HSE management system.

Maintain relevant licenses required by local government for the facility operations.

Coordinate the fire protection system maintenance and the required licensing.

Liaising with relevant governmental bodies as required.

Ensure work activities comply to local regulations and company policies.

Conduct Risk Assessments with operations for work activities.

Identify hazards in the workplace and ensure that control measures are in place.

Ensure incidents (e.g. near hit, property damage, personnel injuries) are reported.

Coordinate with relevant parties to conduct incident investigation and root cause analysis.

Review and ensure corrective and preventive actions are duly implemented.

Identify near hits and ensure corrective measures are taken.

Monitor non conformances and their closing status.

Provide/arrange HSE training as instructed.

Ensure all observation cards are properly submitted into the system, tracked and completed.

Conduct safety and housekeeping inspections.

Maintain relevant licenses required for the facility operations.

Maintain HSE Statistics and report to relevant parties.

Participate and assist local management with the conduct of monthly safety meetings.

Update and disseminate emergency response procedures.

Control of company HSE documents and records.

Support Facility HSE Representative Program.

Support Company Environment, Social and Governance practices and reporting.

Review and ensure that only approved chemical (with relevant SDS) is used in the facility.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certified ISO 45001 auditor.

1 - 3 years’ experience in related field with a demonstrated record of successful management.

Good communication skills.

Familiar with local legislation.

Should be familiar with managing workover claims and Return to Work Programs.

Ability to work independently.
