Makibe Australia are currently looking for a Mechanical Trades Person to join our client's team in Appin:

About the Position:

This is a workshop-based position including some travel to different locations once trained.

Assessing parts for reuse and reconditioning engines and other equipment.

Painting and prepare engines for dispatch to site;

Involved in removal and installation of engines onsite

General housekeeping responsibilities.

Actively ensure own health and safety and the health and safety of others through understanding and implementing workplace health and safety obligations.

Support and comply with Company Policies and procedures as advised and documented in the Company’s employment policies as amended from time to time and as directed by Managers/Supervisors

Travel to sites around Australia to undergo breakdown activities.

6:30am - 3pm Monday to Friday with overtime available

Qualifications and Experience

Trade certificate in a Fitting/Plant Mechanical trade highly desirable

Experience in diesel/gas engine repair/reconditioning highly desirable

Experience in Caterpillar, Deutz, Jenbacher or any large capacity engines highly desirable

Basic computer skills are desirable

Own Transport

Must be willing to undergo medical/D&A test

Must have clear police record & willing to undergo national police check

Flexible availability to work overtime

Driver's license & own reliable transport
