Step into a dynamic and rewarding Apprenticeship/Traineeship Field Officer role where you’ll take ownership of your region, make a real difference in the careers of Queenslanders and enjoy the backing of a passionate and experienced team.
This exciting opportunity has become available due to the continued growth of our organisation and the recent promotion of one of our valued Field Officers.
At the National Timber & Hardware Association (NTHA), we’re proud to represent over 700 members across the country—from independent hardware stores to national timber and building material suppliers. As part of NTHA Trainees & Apprentices, our industry-leading Group Training Organisation (GTO), you’ll play a vital role in guiding, mentoring, and supporting apprentices and trainees as they build their careers. We partner with forward-thinking businesses to deliver tailored workforce solutions and grow the skills the industry needs now and into the future.
If you're passionate about people, committed to excellence, and ready to work with a team that values your contribution—we want to hear from you!

A little about you...
You’re a natural relationship-builder with a passion for helping others succeed. You understand the vital role that apprenticeships and traineeships play in strengthening Australia’s workforce—especially within the timber, building, and hardware industries. You may already have experience working with a Group Training Organisation (GTO) or a keen interest in how GTOs support skills development across industries. You thrive in a people-focused role, where every day brings variety, new conversations, and the chance to make a real difference.
Here’s what you’ll bring to the team:
A skilled communicator who connects with empathy and builds lasting relationships based on trust and integrity

Confidence to work independently while driving performance and exceeding KPIs and targets
A self-motivated and enthusiastic approach to your work and the wider goals of the business

The ability to engage with apprentices and employers, supporting success from sign-up through to completion
Demonstrated business development or sales experience with a passion for growth
Strong experience in collaborating with employers, RTOs, schools, and other stakeholders to create workforce opportunities
