What You Will Do:

Identify and develop lists of prospective clients using variety of sources

Build and maintain up-to-date knowledge of KY Plaster and Building Supplies’ full product range — including plasterboard, building materials, tools, and accessories — as well as competitor offerings and market conditions

Visit regular and potential clients on construction sites, workshops, and offices to create and act on sales opportunities

Assess customers’ building material requirements, providing tailored product recommendations and clear explanations of features, benefits, and applications

Monitor customers’ changing needs, industry trends, and competitor activity, and report findings to sales management to inform strategy

Prepare and present quotes, negotiate pricing and credit terms, and finalise contracts while accurately recording orders

Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to arrange timely delivery of products and, where applicable, organise installation or after-sales support

Provide regular feedback to sales management on sales results, marketability of products, and customer feedback

Follow up with clients to confirm satisfaction with supplied materials, resolve any issues, and maintain long-term business relationships

Prepare sales reports and maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and business expenses

What You Should Have:

Proven experience in sales, ideally within the building supplies, construction, or related industrial products sector

Strong knowledge of building materials and varies products, with the ability to provide advice and solutions to trade customers

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment

Strong organisational and time management skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems

Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel to client sites
