Our client is committed to delivering excellence in every facet of their business. It is towards this goal that they are now looking for a dynamic Despatch Team Leader to join their team.

As the Despatch Team Leader, you will oversee and manage the despatch team, ensuring efficient and effective dispatch operations. You will be responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the team, as well as managing movements to and from external suppliers and sub-contractors such as powder coaters, galvanisers etc

On a daily basis your duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Lead, mentor, and manage the despatch team, ensuring they are motivated and performing to their best ability.
• Coordinate daily despatch operations, including the scheduling and tracking of shipments.
• Coordinate movements between subcontractors and QC returns before returning the components to the job build.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to dispatch and deliveries in a timely manner.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports related to despatch activities.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as warehousing, quality control, assembly and customer service, to ensure work orders are complete and quality checked before delivery.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate most or all of the following skills and experience.

• Proven abilities in a despatch role, with at least [2] years experience in a similar position.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Proficient in using despatch and logistics software and tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• You can read and understand mechanical drawings and diagrams.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience in a manufacturing background is essential, with sheet metal fabrication experience an advantage but not essential.
