The Fish Factory is excited to announce an opportunity for full-time Warehouse Assistant’s. Working as part of a high functioning operations team, the successful candidates will be a vital part of our wholesale operation. Functioning within a team environment, the successful candidates will be team players with high attention to detail. The successful candidates will work a 5 day working roster, including one weekend shift per week. In an ever-growing business, this role presents a range of opportunities for career development.

Your role

This role is a full-time position, reporting directly to the Operations Manager. The role demands the candidate to be physically fit and able to conduct adequate physical labour.

The main areas of responsibility (AOR) are:

Shutdown and preparation of plant for next day operations

Put away and prepare stock for next day production

Cleaning and sanitation of seafood processing equipment

General warehouse duties

Support to packing crew

General seafood processing duties

Unload and put away of product

Work environment

Work is primarily conducted within a warehouse environment which can be wet, cold and / or noisy.

Experience, qualifications & personal attributes

Essential

Ability to organise, prioritise, multitask, be flexible and meet deadlines.

Self-initiative and a strong communicator.

Ability to follow instruction and work efficiently.

Reliable and punctual.

Work well with others and be a team player.
