ABOUT THE POSITION

The job itself includes but is not limited to:

· Designing and creating menus that reflect the restaurant’s style and target audience

· Updating and revising menus based on seasonal ingredients, trends, and customer feedback.

· Preparing high-quality dishes in a timely manner.

· Ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.

· Supervising kitchen staff and ensuring they adhere to recipes and standards.

· Delegating tasks to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

· Ordering and maintaining inventory of food and kitchen supplies.

· Managing stock levels and minimizing waste.

ABOUT YOU

The right person will possess the following skills and aptitudes in order to succeed in the role:

· Experience in a busy environment and with a demonstrated focus on quality and efficiency

· A positive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude

· The ability to work collaboratively in a team

· The ability to excel under pressure with excellent problem-solving skills

· Attention to detail with a focus on consistency

· Maintaining good personal and food hygiene standards

· Ability to be physically active for long periods of time

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

· Minimum 1 year of work experience

· Relevant experience in culinary or kitchen management.

· Proven experience as a Chef in a reputable restaurant or hotel.

· Excellent cooking skills with attention to detail and presentation.

· Ability to manage kitchen operations, inventory, and staff.

· Creativity in menu design and plating.
