Millon Wines Millon Wines is an award-winning South Australian wine company producing premium wines of character, complexity, and regional authenticity. As we grow our direct-to-consumer presence, we are preparing to open our own flagship Millon Wines Cellar Door in the Barossa Valley.
In the interim, Millon Wines will be operating from a shared cellar door, offering a unique opportunity to establish our presence in the region while our permanent home is developed.
We are now looking for a passionate and experienced Cellar Door Manager to lead this next chapter. The successful candidate will play a critical role in both managing the joint space and contributing to the development and implementation of Millon Wines’ future standalone cellar door.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Experience & Brand Presentation
Deliver exceptional hospitality and represent Millon Wines with passion and professionalism
Conduct premium wine tastings and share the stories behind our wines and philosophy
Sales & Wine Club Growth:
Achieve and exceed DTC sales and wine club membership targets
Implement upselling and customer retention strategies
Promote the Millon Wines brand while working within a shared cellar door environment
Cellar Door Operations
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the shared cellar door
Manage POS, stock control, sales reporting, and compliance for Millon Wines
Team Leadership
Lead, train, and motivate casual and part-time staff
Create and manage rosters in line with visitor demand
Foster a service-first, high-performance team culture
Marketing & Events
Work with the marketing team to drive visitation and brand awareness
Plan and execute events, launches, and collaborative activations
Future Cellar Door Development
Contribute to the planning and implementation of Millon Wines’ dedicated cellar
Help shape the visitor experience, layout, and operational framework
Transition leadership from the shared model to a standalone cellar door in due course
About You
You are an enthusiastic, self-motivated hospitality professional with:
Previous experience in a cellar door preferred
A strong understanding of wine and regional tourism
Excellent communication, sales, and team management skills
Digital fluency in POS, CRM, and Microsoft/Google suites
The ability to work weekends and public holidays
A hands-on attitude and the desire to help build something from the ground up
Essential:
Current RSA certification
Australian working rights
Ability to lift wine cartons and stand for extended periods
