About the role

The Cowra Bowling & Recreation Club is seeking a talented and motivated Chef to join our team. As our Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality, delicious meals in our thriving club. This is a full-time role based in Cowra, NSW 2794.

What you'll be doing

Preparing, cooking and presenting a wide range of meals (including Sri Lankan cuisine) to club members and guests

Developing and refining menu items, ensuring a consistently high standard of food quality

Managing kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, stock control and food preparation

Supervising and training kitchen staff to uphold our high standards of service and food preparation

Ensuring the kitchen and food service areas comply with all relevant health and safety regulations

Collaborating with the management team to identify opportunities for menu improvements and cost efficiencies

What we're looking for

Significant experience as a Chef, ideally in a similar hospitality environment

Excellent culinary skills and a keen eye for detail in food presentation

Strong leadership and communication abilities to effectively manage kitchen staff

A passion for working with fresh, high-quality ingredients and creating innovative dishes

A thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene practices

Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet the needs of our diverse clientele
