Murrindindi Shre Council is seeking a Strategic Asset Engineer to –
drive asset management priorities
foster organisation wide awareness of the asset life cycle
advocate for infrastructure that meets the service needs of the community.
About this opportunity
In this role of Strategic Asset Engineer, you will be the technical expert in planning renewal priorities and long term asset management through effective data analysis and understanding community needs. You will enjoy developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with relevant stakeholders, including planning and delivery teams, to develop and document asset treatment options, intervention triggers, and strategies.
You will be the technical lead for:
Prioritising asset renewal and fostering Council-wide awareness of “whole of life asset management”
Reviewing and developing Asset Management Plans for Roads, Bridges, Stormwater & Urban Drainage, Footpaths & Shared Paths, Buildings, Recreation, Leisure & Community Facilities, Parks & Open Spaces.
Asset condition surveying, data collection and analysis
Asset Management Systems and GIS
What you will bring
A positive focus on teamwork, collaboration and driving whole of community/ council outcomes.
Qualifications in Engineering, or relevant work experience
Experienced in utilising IT systems to analyse and prioritise capital works
Experienced in GIS mapping systems, particularly managing datasets and maps to support Asset Management (or a willingness and ability to learn)
Relationship and influencing skills to link and satisfy a diverse range of stakeholders in an effort to gain cooperation and assistance
Passion for exploring innovative outcomes and sustainable solutions.
