About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fabricator / Leading Hand to join our engineering team at RMR Engineering Pty Ltd in Wodonga, Victoria. As a full-time position, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the fabrication process and leading a team of skilled tradespeople to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

What you'll be doing

Oversee and coordinate the fabrication of complex engineering components and structures

Lead and mentor a team of fabricators, ensuring work is completed to the highest standard

Interpret technical drawings and specifications to develop efficient fabrication processes

Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the fabrication process

Maintain a safe and organised work environment, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety standards

Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure timely delivery of projects

Provide guidance and training to less experienced team members

What we're looking for

8+ years of experience as a fabricator or welder in the engineering industry

Proven track record of leading and mentoring a team of tradespeople

Excellent knowledge of welding techniques, fabrication processes, and engineering principles

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
