About the Position
Maranoa Regional Council is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to take on a leadership role in the delivery of rural land services across the region. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the protection and sustainability of our rural industries through effective team coordination, biosecurity and pest management, stock route infrastructure maintenance, and community engagement.

- Brings strong leadership experience and can effectively support a regionally based team
- Understands rural industries and is committed to supporting the productivity and sustainability of our region
- Has knowledge of pest plant and animal management and natural resource practices
- Can interpret and implement biosecurity legislation and Council policies
- Is confident managing multiple programs and delivering infrastructure projects across a large geographic area
- Works collaboratively, communicates clearly, and builds strong stakeholder relationships
- Leads by example in safety, professionalism, and quality service delivery

Position Details & Benefits
- Location: Roma, QLD
- Classification: Stream A – Level 5 (Maranoa Regional Council Certified Agreement 2023)
- Maranoa Locality Allowance: $72.00 per fortnight
- Rural Lands Allowance: As per Award
- Rostered Day Off: 9-day fortnight
- Leave Entitlements:
- 5 weeks annual leave per year
- 3 weeks sick leave per year
- Long service leave after 7 years
- 10 weeks (full pay) or 20 weeks (half pay) paid parental leave
- Training & Professional Development:
- Role-specific training and development opportunities
- Participation in regional and inter-council collaboration with similar departments
- Travel outside the region to attend training, forums, and stakeholder events
- Leads and attends local information sessions, field days, and community engagement events
