About the role

As the Maintenance Production Planner at Keolis Downer Northern Beaches', you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of our bus fleet. In this full-time position based in Northern Beaches, NSW, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the maintenance activities to support the overall business objectives.

This role will be reporting to Keolis Downer Northern Beaches Fleet and Facilities Manager.

To be eligible for this opportunity you will have:

Mandatory Qualifications

Certificate IV in Maintenance Engineering or other relevant industry experience

Driver's License and willing to obtain a Heavy Vehicle License

Knowledge & Experience

The individual showcases strong proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and possesses a solid understanding of maintenance procedures and technologies.

Demonstrates exceptional planning and organizational skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and effectively manage time.

Exhibits advanced capabilities in problem identification and resolution regarding maintenance issues.

Displays strong verbal and written communication skills.

Capable of analyzing data and identifying trends to enhance maintenance strategies.

Maintains a comprehensive understanding of maintenance practices, along with a commitment to safety and compliance.

Functions effectively as a team player while possessing strong customer service skill.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement plans for preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure bus reliability and efficiency.

Schedule maintenance activities, including major overhauls, and supervise supply and warranty processes.

Ensure availability of parts, tools, and resources for maintenance while maximizing cost efficiency and quality.

Oversee warranty, collision, and recoverable depot activities to ensure full cost recovery.

Identify opportunities to reduce maintenance costs and optimize resource allocation.

Collaborate with team members and provide support to the Fleet and Facilities Manager to enhance bus availability and operational efficiency.

Ensure that the maintenance plan complies with manufacturer specifications and, NHVR and OEM requirements, and site activities comply with Work Health and Safety System, Environmental Management System and Quality System requirements.

Provide advice and negotiate with stakeholders to achieve effective and workable outcomes.
