About the role:

This position is located at our Yennora (NSW) site and is scheduled on the afternoon shift, operating from Sunday to Thursday, 10:30pm to 6:30am. Occasional flexibility may be required to work alternative shifts in support of team operations, with sufficient notice provided.

The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for the electrical maintenance, repair, and improvement of production and packaging equipment across the FMCG facility. The role ensures maximum equipment availability and performance while maintaining compliance with electrical safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities but not limited too:

• Perform routine and reactive electrical maintenance on production lines, PLC-controlled systems, motors, switchboards, sensors, and automated machinery.
• Diagnose and repair faults in electrical systems and control circuits.
• Install new electrical equipment and assist with commissioning of plant upgrades.
• Conduct safety inspections and preventative maintenance in line with compliance schedules.
• Support the implementation of automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Good hand on mechanical work and Pneumatics trouble shooting
• Update and maintain accurate records of electrical work, including wiring diagrams and maintenance logs.

Skills & Experience:

• Current NSW Electrical Licence (Unrestricted).
• Certificate III in Electrotechnology – Electrician or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in FMCG, food/beverage manufacturing, or industrial settings.
• Proven experience with fault-finding and repairs in automated and PLC-controlled environments.
• Familiarity with variable speed drives, sensors, HMIs, and industrial control systems.
• Sound knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 (Wiring Rules) and electrical safety regulations.
• Strong diagnostic, communication, and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of Siemens Automation products (PLC, HMI, Drives) is highly regarded.
• Experience with pneumatic systems and components.
