Are you an exceptional 2D/3D drafter with SolidWorks? Do you take pride in producing accurate, manufacture-ready drawings that go straight to the workshop floor, not into a revision loop?

The Knox Digital Division is a fast-growing arm of the Knox Group that designs, builds and installs cutting-edge digital screen solutions used in commercial and public environments across the country. Due to sustained growth, we’re looking for a junior to mid-level Mechanical CAD Designer & Drafter who’s ready to contribute, learn, and grow alongside a highly skilled Product Manager and a practical, experienced project delivery team.

To be successful in this role, you must:

Be outstanding in SolidWorks, with strong skills in both 3D modelling and 2D drafting

Produce fully-dimensioned, clear and buildable drawings, the first time, and every time

Confidently prepare manufacturing-ready part, assembly and fabrication drawings with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), bill of materials (BOMs) and exploded views

Build and maintain product variants using configuration tools

Translate legacy CAD files into a consistent, modern format

Be willing to contribute to continuous improvement of drawing standards, libraries and workflows

Manage product data management (PDM) workflows and revision control, ensuring only current drawings hit the floor

Keep up-to-date with Australian drafting standards and enforce quality control practices

Communicate effectively with project, production and supplier teams

Be eager to grow in your craft, take feedback well, and contribute to a shared design library

Manage multiple priorities and work to timelines in a real-world production setting

Be hard working, loyal and trustworthy
