Denison College of Secondary Education - Kelso High Campus is a comprehensive secondary school with an enrolment of 820 students, including 160 Aboriginal students located in Bathurst, three-hours drive from the Sydney CBD. Kelso High Campus forms an innovative collaborative structure with Bathurst High Campus as part of Denison College. You will be working in a well-resourced and supportive environment comprising a large team of educators, some of whom have many years of experience in a wide range of settings. We implement a comprehensive program to support early career teachers, so final year university students are also encouraged to apply.

At Kelso High Campus there is an emphasis on a deep and shared understanding of the individual needs and backgrounds of students and families, supported by positive relationships between staff, students and families, and teaching and learning that is aligned to student learning data and is responsive to student needs.

Specific Selection Criteria

Approval and experience to teach SDD - Software Design and Development (Software Engineering).

Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish positive working relationships with students, staff and parents to improve student learning outcomes

Capacity to implement effective classroom management strategies and contribute to differentiated and innovative teaching and learning programs to engage and meet the needs of a diverse range of learners

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
