We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join our team.
This position is a permanent full-time position commencing in Term 1, 2026.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Humanities Faculty, under the supervision of the Head of Humanities, to develop and implement programs and maintain the high levels of achievement from our students in the Humanities curriculum areas. The ability to teach all levels of Humanities would be an advantage.

The College is situated on an expansive semi-rural site, enjoying beautiful and spacious outdoor areas. The location is on the edge of south-west Sydney, a short trip to Sydney suburbs or regional areas of Wollondilly and Wollongong.
Core Requirements:
Applicants for the position of Humanities Teacher must demonstrate at a minimum that they:
• are a committed Christian, who is active in the life of a Reformed Evangelical Church.
• support the College’s vision of holistic Christian education.
• conduct themselves in a manner in keeping with the College ethos and Code of Conduct at all times, modelling Christian maturity to the College community.
• have the ability to teach across Stages 4-6 of NESA Humanities Syllabi
• have exceptional communication and relational teaching skills.
• have knowledge of relevant compliance requirements in schools.
• holds a valid Working with Children Check in NSW (WWCC).
• are an accredited teacher with at least Conditional Teacher accreditation from NESA.
• work effectively and collaboratively in a Faculty team.
Core Responsibilities:
The Humanities Teacher should:
• provide effective and innovative teaching practices for teaching Humanities, reflecting the Christian ethos of the College, ensuring a high standard of outcomes for all students.
• manage curriculum requirements for their classes, including programs, registers, assessment, feedback, and reporting.
• manage student issues arising from their classes using the College’s positive behaviour framework and implementing relevant College protocols.
• implement College protocols and strategies.
• provide effective pastoral care to students through leading a regular House Tutor group.
• support cocurricular activities of the College.
Details of Employment:
• This position is responsible directly to the Head of Humanities
• This position is also responsible to the Deputy Principal Senior School and the Principal.
• The normal teaching load is 47 fifty-minute periods per fortnightly cycle, including Sport, plus House Tutor and other duties. This load may be adjusted according to the needs of the timetable.
• Salary will be determined under the conditions of the Independent Schools NSW (Teachers) Cooperative Multi Enterprise Agreement 2025 after training and experience has been considered.
