About the Role & Peak:

We are seeking a passionate leader to join our Before and After School Care and Vacation Care service in the Wollongong region as a Responsible Persons/Supervisor in a permanent full time position.

At Peak, our philosophy centers around FITNESS, EDUCATION, and FUN.

Our mission is to exceed the expectations of children, families, and the community by delivering programs that nurture intellectual, social, creative, emotional, and physical well-being.

At Peak Sports & Learning, children are at the centre of all decision-making, and every day is an opportunity to make a positive difference.

We are a child safe organisation and promote continuous improvement in the provision of quality education and care. We have zero tolerance to harm to children and expect all applicants to share our commitment to safeguarding children.

Remuneration Package:

Receive a $2000 signing bonus upon successful completion of the probationary period

Pay rate between $33.00 - $37.54 an hour depending on qualifications and experience

Approximately $3,800 of allowances paid on top annually

Your role during service hours will involve:

The running of the service

Ensuring all programmed activities are prepped and ready for the children to enjoy

Guiding and supporting staff ensuring they all know what they are responsible for

You will manage children’s behavior with a positive approach

Ensure their safe arrival

Keep our critical reflection diary up to date

Follow and promote child safety and wellbeing policies

Create environments where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures are welcomed and valued

Out side of centre hours, you’ll have allocated admin hours to focus on paperwork and documentation:

You’ll be responsible for creating the program

Contributing to our Reconciliation Action Plan

Crafting resources to enrich the children's experience

Maintaining medical management diaries

Completing the self assessment

What you won’t have to worry about:

Our dedicated admin team takes care of new enrollments, parent payments, and serves as the first point of contact for families.

A specialised roster manager handles scheduling for all services, so your focus can remain on your team and the children.

You’ll work alongside our Inclusion Support Facilitator to apply for funding and provide the best care for children with additional needs.

Our Training and Development Officer is here to help you upskill your staff and ensure continuous growth and development.

What will you need?

A passion for working with children and having fun

Strong leadership and teamwork skills
