About the Role & Peak:
We are seeking a passionate leader to join our Before and After School Care and Vacation Care service in the Wollongong region as a Responsible Persons/Supervisor in a permanent full time position.

Remuneration Package:
Receive a $2000 signing bonus upon successful completion of the probationary period
Pay rate between $33.00 - $37.54 an hour depending on qualifications and experience
Approximately $3,800 of allowances paid on top annually
Your role during service hours will involve:
The running of the service
Ensuring all programmed activities are prepped and ready for the children to enjoy
Guiding and supporting staff ensuring they all know what they are responsible for
You will manage children’s behavior with a positive approach
Ensure their safe arrival
Keep our critical reflection diary up to date
Follow and promote child safety and wellbeing policies
Create environments where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures are welcomed and valued
Promote the safety and inclusion of all children, including those with additional needs
Most importantly, ensuring the children have fun!
Out side of centre hours, you’ll have allocated admin hours to focus on paperwork and documentation:
You’ll be responsible for creating the program
Contributing to our Reconciliation Action Plan
Crafting resources to enrich the children's experience
Maintaining medical management diaries
Completing the self assessment
What you won’t have to worry about:
Our dedicated admin team takes care of new enrollments, parent payments, and serves as the first point of contact for families.
A specialised roster manager handles scheduling for all services, so your focus can remain on your team and the children.
You’ll work alongside our Inclusion Support Facilitator to apply for funding and provide the best care for children with additional needs.
Our Training and Development Officer is here to help you upskill your staff and ensure continuous growth and development.
What will you need?
A passion for working with children and having fun
Strong leadership and teamwork skills
A drive to exceed the expectations of our children, families, and community
Experience in Outside School Hours Care, Primary Education, or Early Childhood Education
Relevant qualifications in Outside School Hours Care or Early Childhood Education (desirable)
First Aid, CPR, and Child Protection training (or willingness to obtain/renew)
