Casual Educator and Responsible Person opportunities within the Catholic Diocese of Lismore - Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) service (30 places) located within St Ambrose Primary School, Pottsville.

Duties

Before and after school care, plus school holiday programs.

Organise and supervise children in various recreational and educational activities.

Take an active role in supporting positive behaviours and self-regulation.

Apply policies, procedures or similar related to childcare environment.

Build relationships with the children and families and positively represent the service at all times.

Selection Criteria

Relevant experience and/or qualifications.

Ability to apply and comply with child safeguarding principles and mandatory reporting obligations.

Professional presentation and excellent punctuality.

Ability to engage in a positive and friendly manner with children and families.

Available for a range of shifts over a Monday to Friday roster (no weekends).

Employees must have or be able to obtain prior to commencement NSW Working with Children Check clearance (all staff). Responsible Person duties also require: Current First Aid Qualification specific for early childhood settings (HLTAID012/HLTAID004) and Child Protection Training (CHCPRT025 or equivalent).

Pay rates

Pay rates are based on level of appointment.

Level 3: $35.16 per hour plus allowances and superannuation (e.g. Cert III/IV and/or experience)

Level 4: $37.13 per hour, plus allowances and superannuation (Diploma); and

Level 5: $40.25 per hour plus allowances and superannuation (when undertaking Responsible Person duties).
