About the role

This is an excellent opportunity to join the fun and dynamic team at Kingsford Lawyers' as a full-time Bookkeeper. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial records and ensuring the smooth day-to-day accounting operations of the firm. Based in Ashmore, QLD, this role offers a competitive salary and the chance to work for a leading law practice in a supportive and collaborative environment.

What you'll be doing

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger entries and trust entries and reconciliation

Providing administrative support to the accounts team and liaising with external stakeholders, such as clients and suppliers

General administration such as filing, answering the phones when needed, assisting the legal team with their billing (receivables) using our legal software (Smokeball)

Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements

Assisting with the preparation of GST and BAS returns

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounting role, ideally within a professional services or legal environment

Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines

Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with proficiency in using MYOB and Microsoft Office applications

A proactive, organised, and customer-focused approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Relevant qualifications or certifications in accounting or bookkeeping (e.g. Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping or equivalent)
