Bookkeeper – Accounting Firm

We are a well-established accounting firm business based in Noosaville Qld, seeking a dedicated and experienced Bookkeeper & Accounts Specialist to join our close-knit team, support our accounting team and ensure tasks are completed on time. This is preferably a full-time position, however part-time employment may be considered for the right candidate. The role offers an excellent opportunity for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping & Financial Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including bank reconciliations and financial statements for multiple entities.

Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to assist in business decision-making. Preparation of BAS, PAYG, and superannuation submissions.

Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets.

Payroll Management: Handle weekly payroll processing, including superannuation contributions, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and tax obligations.

Assist accounting team with ad hoc tasks as required, including tax return preparation and advancement into financial statement preparation.

Qualifications & Experience:

Proven experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounting role.

Proficiency in Xero and MYOB is essential, with the ability to navigate similar platforms efficiently. Xero certification is an advantage.

Strong knowledge of GST, payroll, superannuation, tax compliance, and financial reporting standards.

Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and financial management.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Experience completing tax returns would be highly regarded.
