About the Role
We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Permits & Planning Coordinator to join our team on a casual basis for an initial 3-month period. In this role, you will coordinate traffic-related permits and documentation for a variety of infrastructure and construction projects.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, supportive environment and is confident liaising with councils, road authorities, and internal teams to ensure timely approvals and smooth project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Submit and track permit applications to councils, DOT, and other authorities

Liaise with project managers, engineers, and traffic designers to meet project deadlines

Organise Desktop Road Safety Audits (RSA), Risk Assessments, and related documents

Receive and process incoming permit applications and supporting information

Maintain permit registers and documentation workflows

Assist with Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGSs), including variations and amendments

Ensure all permit and compliance requirements are met

Record permit-related costs and assist with tracking for invoicing purposes

Provide general support to the Traffic Management Designers and Construction Traffic Manager

Required Certifications

Construction Induction Card (White Card)

Traffic Control – Use Stop Slow Bat (RIIWHS205D)

Traffic Control – Implement Traffic Management Plan (RIIWHS302D)

(Desirable) Prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plan (RIICWD503A) or equivalent

Experience in traffic planning or permit coordination

Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders

High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks

Good understanding of road construction and authority approval processes

Ability to work independently and adapt to changing project needs
