In this role, you’ll work closely with the partners as part of a small, dedicated team. You’ll have the opportunity to build meaningful client relationships and gain exposure to a broad range of tax, accounting and advisory projects.

We are located in South Melbourne close to the corner of Albert Road & St Kilda Road. The office is extremely accessible by public transport (train & tram) or by car.

About You

You are a self-motivated, solutions focused individual with a curious & collaborative mind-set.

You value being part of a close-knit team with goals to expand your role and achieve great things in the future.

You have 5+ years in a public practice accounting firm in Australia.

You are CA or CPA qualified, or are currently working towards being qualified.

You have experience & proficiency in various accounting software such as MYOB, Xero & Microsoft Excel.

About the Role

You will have direct involvement with the partners, utilizing a collaborative approach to deliver a high level of quality when servicing our client’s needs.

You will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide-range of projects, with your key responsibilities including:

Preparing business financial statements, income tax returns, and Business Activity Statements (BAS) across all entity types

Preparation of financial statements & tax returns for SMSFs

Assistance clients with bookkeeping & payroll related queries where required (MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks).

Developing and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships through direct communication.

Reviewing work files and offering support and mentorship to team members.

Keeping current with the latest accounting software and technologies to enhance workflow efficiency.

Assisting in the development and optimization of internal systems and procedures.

Playing an active role in driving the firm’s continued growth.
