About the Role:

As a Clinical Trial Research Nurse, you play a vital role in the implementation of clinical trials for a variety of studies. You work closely with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team to ensure each trial is conducted efficiently, ethically, and to the highest standards of participant safety and care. You will be allocated specific portfolios to support and assist the wider clinical team in their daily functions.

What you might do in a typical day:

Coordinate and implement clinical trial activities as part of a multidisciplinary team

Provide high-quality nursing care and monitor the safety and wellbeing of trial participants throughout the study

Conduct nursing assessments, administer investigational and standard of care medication, and monitor for adverse events

Collect, document, and manage clinical trial data in accordance with study protocols and regulatory requirements

Liaise regularly with principal investigators, clinical trial co-ordinators, clinical trial pharmacy, clinical trial laboratory and all site staff to ensure seamless trial delivery

Support trial-related administrative activities, training, and mentoring of less-experienced research staff where applicable

What do we need from you?

Registered Nurse with at least 3-4 years experience

Current AHPRA registration/practicing certificate

Experience in clinical research, preferably with exposure to industry sponsored clinical trials of at least 2 years

Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills

Strong attention to detail and commitment to ethical research practices

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and relevant regulatory guidelines is highly regarded.
