Opportunity: Procurement and Contracts Specialist
A key role is available for an experienced Procurement and Contracts Specialist to support a broad range of sourcing and commercial activities at a major industrial site. This position is focused on improving procurement outcomes through strategic sourcing, contract management, supplier engagement, and cross-functional collaboration.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that align with operational needs and broader business objectives. This includes managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and identifying opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and local sourcing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with site leadership and other senior stakeholders to understand operational requirements and translate them into effective procurement solutions.
- Conduct market analysis and supplier evaluations to ensure sourcing decisions are informed and commercially sound.
- Lead competitive bidding processes, including tenders and eAuctions, and manage contracts up to $1M in value.
- Monitor supplier performance against contractual obligations, resolve disputes, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Support the development of local supplier relationships and explore opportunities to source goods and services within the community.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, while maintaining oversight of contract terms in response to market changes.
- Collaborate with teams across Manufacturing, Maintenance, HR, IT, and Finance to support location-wide objectives.
- Act as a liaison between site operations and global procurement functions, contributing to the alignment and execution of broader procurement initiatives.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will bring 3-5 years of experience in procurement or commercial roles, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting. They should have a solid understanding of contract negotiation, supplier management, and procurement strategy development.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective business relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Problem-solving capabilities, particularly in complex or time-sensitive situations.
- Familiarity with commercial and operational dynamics in supplier and customer relationships.
