The Junior Financial Accountant role is designed to offer a valuable development opportunity for an employee to build on their existing qualifications while contributing meaningful support to the Finance Team. This position is ideal for a recent graduate seeking to enter the workforce in their chosen field, or for a junior accountant aiming to enhance their skill set within a high-performing and innovative finance team committed to excellence.

About The Role

The Junior Financial Accountant will be responsible for a range of key finance functions, including preparing month-end accruals and prepayment journals, reconciling and adjusting accounts, and analysing monthly profit and loss and balance sheet reports. The role also involves supporting the capital expenditure process—covering planning, project creation, record keeping, closure, and depreciation—as well as assisting in the preparation of year-end and statutory accounts. Additional duties include supporting external audits, reviewing financial records for accuracy and compliance, contributing to tax submissions, preparing monthly BAS statements, and providing broader assistance across the finance team.

The Requirements

Applicants who possess the following will be considered:

Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business or currently undertaking studies in these disciplines.

Working towards, or interested in, a CPA or CA designation.

Commercial and business awareness

A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data.

Deadline-orientated and an ability to stick to time constraints.
