What You’ll Be Doing:

• Own the Month-End Close - Lead end-to-end processes across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Drive Financial Reporting - Prepare insightful financial statements, variance analysis, and maintain ledger integrity.
• Lead Budgeting & Forecasting - Shape annual budgets and rolling forecasts, delivering board-ready reports and strategic insights
• Champion Process Improvement - Identify inefficiencies, implement automation, and strengthen financial controls.
• Mentor & Upskill - Support junior team members and build financial capability across operations and venue teams.
• Ensure Compliance - Liaise with auditors, manage statutory obligations (BAS, FBT, payroll tax), and maintain audit-ready documentation.

What You Bring:

• 5+ years in accounting or finance, ideally in SME or multi-site environments.
• Proven ability to own and drive monthly P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, and quarterly reporting with precision and consistency.
• Experience building and embedding day-to-day financial processes that improve accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to understand the bigger picture and translate numbers into meaningful insights.
• A natural collaborator who thrives on partnering with operational teams - you’re comfortable getting out from behind the desk and working with people across the business.
• The right personality: proactive, approachable, and confident in engaging stakeholders at all levels.
• Deep knowledge of AASB standards and financial reporting.
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a drive for continuous improvement.
• Experience in accommodation, travel or lifestyle industries (a bonus!).
