About us:
Community Services #1 is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting people and families in the ACT and surrounding NSW regions. With over 200 employees and volunteers, we deliver programs that address community needs and foster a sense of belonging.
We are currently seeking dedicated & caring professionals to join our team providing in home support. Our Home Care Workers play a pivotal role in enabling older Australians to maintain their independence & live their life, their way. We are especially excited to hear from experienced Home Care Workers to provide high quality Personal Care & general support services.
About the Role:
Home Care Worker
Domestic Assistance: General assistance with the upkeep of the home & may include meal preparation, shopping & general cleaning.
Home Maintenance: light gardening and lawn mowing
Social Support: Supporting the client in a social capacity which can be within the home or in a community setting.
Transport: Provide transport to CS#1 clients to access the community.
Personal Care: Provide support where required with showering, dressing & other activities of daily living.
Communicating with CS#1 Team to ensure clients support plan is reflecting support needs by providing progress notes from each shift and escalating of any change in health, wellbeing, or risks of the client.
Representing the CS#1 team internally and externally with clients, families, and relevant stakeholders.
Respectfully maintaining & upholding our clients right to dignity, privacy & dignity of choice.
About you:
To be considered for these roles, you will hold or be working towards a Certificate 3 in Community Services, Individual Support (or approved equivalent) and/or relevant work experience.
A dedicated and enthusiastic Home Care Worker
Hold a current unrestricted ACT Working with Vulnerable People card
Hold Working with Children Check, National Police Check, current First Aid and CPR Certificate
Full Drivers' Licence and own vehicle
COVID-19 Vaccination History Certificate
What we offer:
Hourly rate: Starting from $40.93 - $42.28 (including casual loading), plus superannuation
