The Australian Haemophilia Centre Directors' Organisation Inc. (AHCDO) is seeking to appoint a Program Officer - Clinical Advisory
Part-time (0.6 FTE / 45 hours per fortnight)
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience
2 year contract with the potential for extension
AHCDO office located in Burwood, Victoria
Hybrid arrangements to be discussed with successful applicant (at least 50% on site)
ABOUT US
The Australian Haemophilia Centre Directors' Organisation (AHCDO) is the national medical body for haemophilia and other bleeding disorders in Australia and our objectives are:
to advance care and treatment of people with haemophilia in Australia;
to advance the education of the medical profession and the broad range of health professionals associated with people with haemophilia in the knowledge of haemophilia and its treatment;
to promote haemophilia research, and to disseminate the results of such research;
to liaise with, and provide information and advice to Haemophilia Foundation Australia (HFA), Federal, State and Territory Governments, and other such bodies involved in the welfare of people with haemophilia in Australia.
AHCDO is a not-for-profit organisation governed by an Executive Committee.

Purpose of the role
The Program Officer – Clinical Advisory is responsible for coordinating the delivery of the AHCDO clinical advisory services to National Blood Authority and other stakeholders and managing AHCDO clinical guidelines; including providing support to AHCDO clinical advisory committees and actioning business associated with the committees and any requests from the National Blood Authority and other stakeholders.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential
1. Tertiary qualification in a related field and at least 4 years of relevant experience;
2. Experience managing a clinical or academic committee and / or experience managing clinical guidelines;
3. Experience in the provision of a range of project management and administrative support to senior and executive level staff with a capacity to exercise sound judgment, diplomacy and discretion, maintain confidentiality;
4. Well-developed oral and written communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to present written information clearly, to work collaboratively and effectively in a team-based environment and interact effectively with diverse stakeholders;
5. Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and to effectively manage competing deadlines and priorities;
6. Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver work of a high standard, within tight deadlines and under pressure at times;
7. High level computer skills, including MS Office suite - Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint.
Desirable
8. Experience in or an understanding of the not-for-profit/incorporated association/charity sector;
9. Knowledge of health service organisations.
