About the Role
At WVPHN, we strive for continuous quality improvement that enhances care, supports evidence-based practice, creates efficiencies, and develops capacity and capabilities within primary care.
The Project Officer will work on projects across the Aged Care Program to ensure effective planning, communication and stakeholder engagement. The position will work with relevant internal WVPHN team members and external stakeholders, maintain accurate project documentation, and delivering high-quality online engagement activities such as webinars and virtual meetings.
This is a hybrid role: working from anywhere in the western Victoria region, with frequent travel and face-to-face meetings required for stakeholder engagement and training/team days.
Duties include:
Support the Aged Care team with the development, implementation, monitoring, delivery, and evaluation of all aspects of the projects including managing contracts with commissioned providers and reporting requirements.
Work collaboratively to support participating Residential Aged Care Homes (RACHs) within western Victoria.
Provide tailored support and coaching to participating RACHs via online engagement to deliver a positive customer experience.
Support the documentation of project risks, assumptions, issues, dependency, decisions and document delegations for action
Provide support on identifying and documenting key stakeholder interest in the projects, including maintaining CRM.
Key Selection Criteria includes:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences including GPs, aged care providers, and community stakeholders.
Proven ability to coordinate and deliver in-person and remote meetings, webinars, and conferences, ensuring a seamless user experience through high attention to detail, proactive troubleshooting, and effective stakeholder communication.
Strong IT skills across a range of software and digital tools, with the capacity to learn new platforms quickly and apply them in a fast-paced, evolving environment. High-level competency in Microsoft Office and web-based collaboration tools is expected.
Experience in stakeholder engagement, relationship building, training delivery and project promotion through in person visits, newsletters, presentations, and forums.
