Our client, a well-established engineering firm based in Perth's North, are currently seeking an experienced Estimator / Project Manager to step into a role based in their workshop for a temporary to permanent position, supporting the business through a key leadership transition.

This role plays a key part in bridging offshore planning with local project execution. Working closely with the Offshore Operations Manager, the focus will be on reviewing offshore estimates and integrating the necessary local scope.

This role involves the following but not limited to:

• Pricing structural steel packages
• Liaising with detailing and fabrication teams in Thailand
• Develop local tender submissions
• Take ownership of managing variations
• Coordinating subcontractor performance
• Maintaining clear communication with clients right through to handover
• Ensuring every commitment is met — safely, efficiently, and to the expected standard

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in structural steel
• Strong background in estimating and project management
• Confident with drawings, specs, scope reviews, and pricing
• Able to communicate clearly with clients, subcontractors, and international partners
• Ready to step into a fast-paced role
• Comfortable working from both site and office
• Australian working rights
• Current driver's licence
• Available to start immediately or within 1-2 weeks

The role is based in the Malaga office and is offered on a casual basis, working Monday to Friday. The pay rate ranges from $70 to $90 per hour + super, depending on the experience and capability of the successful candidate.
